1st Scrapbook layout of 2011 - 'FIZZY COFFEE'

Last October, Carrie and I slept over with my sister and neice, she then took us for brunch to an amazing restaurant on the Saturday morning. Carrie asked for 'fizzy coffee', I deduced she meant cappuccino, but that had too much caffeine so she and her cousin Ellie had hot chocolates topped with marshmallows and whipped cream. the photo is of them both, Ellie in the fore and Carrie behind. i started this LO last year but mislaid the photo, only finding it again yesterday when sorting out my stash. Now that all my stash is sorted, on view and accessible, I'm using stash especially my stamps and inks which has sat hidden from view for far too long, so I'm making up for it now!
for this LO I've used:
Basic Grey 12" x 12" cardstock
donated Kanban cardtock made into tag, edged with tattered rose distress ink
& overstamped with fired brick distress ink, using a PM floral sprig stamp
donated doily die-cut.
mini envelope from my stash stamped with fired brick distress ink
Glittered chipboard letters from Poundland
Glittered foam flowers from Poundland
swirl and gingham ribbon from kit hubby bought me for Christmas
hope you like it, thanks for any comments, Fi x

2nd easter card using PM daffodil stamp

I used the same PM Marie Curie daffodil stamp as on previous card, but this time used versamark inkpad and green glittered embossing powder, stamped onto green, yellow and orange paper, layered up with 3D foam.
I then layered the image onto spring flower backing paper and mounted onto white square card.
I embellished the card with clear gem from poundland,
satin flower & 3D sentiment from my stash and
Craft Creatives gold glitter frame stickers.
this card is being sent to my Easter card swap partner on a craft forum I belong to.

hubby has put my wall units up, feel my craftroom is coming together now

I am so chuffed, hubby has put my 2 wall units up on the wall above my craft desk, donated by a friend who was getting a new bedroom. we can't find the screws to attach the doors, but I think I quite like the open plan look, so I can see everything easily, here are some pics - above my new craft area, everything close to hand.
the left hand unit is for stamping. I decided to display all my rubber stamps on the bottom shelf, so I can access them and use them, not stamped for ages.
The top shelf is for my acrylic stamps, acrylic blocks, inks, embossing powders and heat gun.

This is the lefthand side of the right hand unit.
On the bottom shelf my multi-sectioned boxes containing brads, gems and large glittered letters.
On the top shelf are boxes containing my adhesives, donated nesties and die-cuts & my ribbons.
On the right hand side of that unit, on the bottom shelf is a 3 drawer unit holding my small adhesive gems, scissors and pens and embossing tools. also some chipboard letters, my cropodile and a box of colour coded paper and card scraps and my 6" x 6" paper pads.
On the top shelf is a floral box containing the larger donated nesties, next to a 2 drawer unit containing my rub-ons and 3D stickers.

Below the units on my desk are :
my Ikea storage jars, containing my large gems, buttons and bows colour coded into reds/blues & lilacs/black and white/gold and green.

Now my most treasured stash storage, a beautiful wooden box bought by my sister for my last birthday, in which I store my collection of fabric flowers

I've not even begun to bring in the majority of my paper and card colections yet, think as they are heavy they will need to go on my bookshelf.

thanks for sharing in my excitement at my new, developing craftroom, I feel like its finally coming together. Friends have said do start to craft right away, but I want it all at hand and out of my granddaughters bedroom, then I can start being creative in this space.

Thanks for any comments, Fi x

my very own craft room, first pics

finally I now have my very own creative space, a lilac craftroom to craft to my heart's content.
It may be small and ever so humble but its all mine!!
Its 6 feet square, with lilac walls, heather carpet, funky pink and lilac curtains and decforated with Winnie the Pooh accessories, a crystal Tigger, W t P lampshade and wall art.

Above is my 5 foot craft desk, with my magnifying daylight lamp and my essential CD player. Below the desk are the 2 ornament shelves which will go into Carrie's new bedroom, when hubby gets round to it!
also when he gets round to it, 2 white wall units will be on the wall above my craft desk.

Below, my lilac bookshelves, ready to store my stash, most of whichis still in Carrie's (my grand-daughter) new bedroom, which was my temporary craft room after our son left home for uni and bought a flat last October.
 - Top shelf, my rub-ons and clear stamps in purple 2 drawer chest.
 - middle shelf my rubber stamps, inks and embossing powders in 2 storage units.
 - 3rd shelf, more rubber stamps in velvet box, and my cropodile.
my pc desk with Kodak printer/scanner/copier.
another view of my craft room

can't wait to bring in all my stash, once the drilling of the units above my desk has been finished and cleared up, watch this space!

thanks for looking at my new craftroom and any comments, Fi x
